SSX Center Discussion
« on: March 23, 2007, 04:44:44 pm »
This subsite will only be for the SSX games. I'm thinking that because SSX3 already has an established community, the games following that, being SSX On Tour and SSX Blur (Wii Exclusive), should be for this subsite.

I have very good knowledge on both games - OT for Xbox and Blur for Wii (not yet purchased) - and I can take the lead in establishing this subsite.

Each game will have rules and categories for the chart divisions.

Anything that needs to be addressed at the moment should be mentioned.
Would anyone like to assist me in establishing this subsite?

Soon, I'll add a list of divisions for Blur. As for On Tour, as there are numerous events, I'll have to boot up my Xbox and write it all down.

edit:
Rules

SSX Blur:
*Stats can be recollected in Career Mode or in Quickplay. Any stats earned in any of the Tournaments must be proven with a screenshot as the stats earned here will not appear on the high-scores table in Quickplay.
*More to come most likely...

SSX On Tour:
*None at the moment...

I'll have to go through (pretty much EACH AND EVERYONE of) the missions in SSX On Tour. Can you imagine how long that's gonna take... X_X

Anyway, I'll get started on that soon.

Blur Division Chart made. Will edit and continue to go into more detail.

I have a list of the divisions for On Tour, thankfully because of an FAQ. I don't think I'll make a chart as I did for Blur as it'll be very tedious... (will edit soon as I continue to edit the format from the FAQ)

SSX On Tour Update:

After replaying most of the missions, I’ve come to the following conclusions:
*All Medal Events will be added as Records are kept track of at the start of the mission/event.
*The following is a list of all the Shred Events. This determines whether certain missions are included or not.

The following will not be added:
4 Jump
Rail This
Alpine Assault
(There IS a timer but you’ll have to see it before the mission ends as it doesn’t say what time you finished with on the Results Screen.)
Loose Cannon??  (See Alpine Assault)
Snow Cop a-Go-Go

The following will be added:
Note: Some missions (marked by a *) will have the stat at the very end of the mission if you complete it successfully. The Monster Mayhem stage is different. Read the parenthesis for how to get your stat.
*Anti-Air (Remaining Air Time; Shown in X.XX sec; Counts down)
*Say No to Snow (Remaining Snow Time; Shown in X.XX sec; Counts down)
Monster Mayhem (Time Left; If you’re performing Monster Tricks, because you’ll be moving slowly in the air whilst performing it, you’ll be able to see the Timer perfectly for a second.)

I’m unsure about the following events:
Note: For all the below events, you’ll need to see your stats as soon as the mission ends (the screen will give you like half a second to see it). Your stat will be the time that’s left on the countdown timer. Is this really recommended? I’m a little sceptical but leaning more towards no but I thought I’d ask anyway for anyone interested. If not then all the missions marked with a “*” will not be added (essentially, all of the below missions.)
*Count Combo Sr. (Get a Combo Bonus of ___ before time runs out)
*Get Tricky (You’ll have to see your final trick score very quickly; you have like a half-a-second as soon as the mission ends.)
*Rail the Distance (Grind a certain length of rail before time runs out; see how much time is left? As with the others you’ll only have a split second..)
*Collection Agency (Find a certain number of collectables before time runs out.)
*Trick-Off (First to get ____ points ahead wins.)
*Size Matters (First to get ___ metres ahead wins.)
*Airtime Anonymous (Grab ___ seconds of airtime before time’s up.)
*Catch Up and Relish (Tag ___ other riders before time’s up.)
*Near Miss (Score ___ Close Calls in Time Limit.)
*Skidlet Roundup (Score ____ Knockdowns in the Time Limit.)
*Best of Show (Score ___ points with a single trick before time’s up.)
*Float a Big One (Get ___ seconds of airtime in a single bound.)
*Trick-tastic (Get ___ points before time’s up.)

I’ve also taken the liberty to add a couple new divisions. As with Need for Speed, there will be a Personal Records category.
-Longest Air Time
-Longest Handplant Time
-Longest Combo Chain
-Longest Grab Time

NEW RULES:

SSX On Tour:
*Stats can only be submitted if they were achieved in Tour Mode. Stats cannot be submitted if done in Quickplay Mode.

SSX Blur:
*Stats can be made in either Career or Quickplay Mode.

EDIT:
I realized my Divisions List, after DL'ing it, is messed up - coding or whatever. I'll re-attach it and see...

EDIT:
Regarding the On Tour Shred Events: Update:

*Count Combo Sr.

*Float a Big One (Get ___ seconds of airtime in a single bound.)

Following will be newly added:
Best of Show
Get Tricky
Trick-tastic (Still a little skeptical. I'll re-do one of these missions now just in case to double check...)

BTW, so you know, the Shred Events List needs to be straightened out. You'll see a document containing all divisions for On Tour up sometime once I straighten everything out here.

I just tried some missions again and it turn out here's the verdict:

I've decided to (after re-evaluation) Rail the Distance, Alpine Assault, and Loose Cannon.
For all these, we'll use this format for times:

The time you'll get will be something like (example): 3.00.76
We'll just have to settle with this for stats: 3.00

By the way, Trick-tastic is okay for competition, as I was skeptical.

edit:

All done.. Now that's more organized, eh?
Enjoy and please post thoughts.

edit:
SJ, just checked out Merqury City.... My idea's scrapped then I guess...
But on the plus side, that site is ownage (and I don't use that word very often).

IDEA SCRAPPED (unfortunately... this would've been great to do...)
